Terengganu State Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) rangers with the two trained elephants named Abot (left) and Rambai (right) for the mission of conservation and translocation wild elephant, A few wild elephant will be relocate from Bukit Kesing Forest Reserve near Kampung Pelong in Setiu to Taman Negara, Tasek Kenyir about 500km from Kuala Lumpur. The Perhilitan department carries out a lot of public awareness activities aimed at educating visitors about the importance of the species and habitat protection.
